Italy has been the most popular place for the tennis players to go on holiday this summer. Not only Caroline Wozniacki and Maria Sharapova but also Serena Williams visited the country. After losing the Wimbledon final to the German player Angelique Kerber, the American stayed in Europe and went to Italy, one of the most important countries in her private life as in 2015, in Rome, she and her current husband Alexis Ohanian met each other for the first time.
This year Serena withdrew from Rome Open due to lack of form in May, so she wanted to visit the country again. But she has chosen the Northern regions, staying in a stunning room at the 'L'Albereta Relais & Châteaux' hotel near Brescia. 'Loving family time in beautiful Italy.
What an insane room I stayed in. I got to look at stars from my bed at night!! This week has been a dream!' Serena wrote on Instagram posting a video. On Saturday, the 36-year-old went to Venice and posted an Instagram Stories' clip from San Marco square with Alexis and their daughter Olympia.
Serena will soon return to the United States to prepare for the North American hard-court season that for her will start at the Mubadala Silicon Valley in San Jose.
