I am with Dominic Thiem on Serena Williams incident, says Boris Becker

In an interview, the six-time Major winner Boris Becker commented on Dominic Thiem being forced to leave the interview room in the French Open because of Serena Williams. The German said: “I am with Dominic Thiem on this one.

He is a Roland-Garros finalist. He’s mature and one of the main players on the men’s tour and if he’s giving an interview in a press conference and he hasn’t finished then everyone else has to wait, including Serena Williams.

I think it was unfortunate for the organisers to put both players in this situation – they should know Dominic Thiem is having a press conference, when he’s finished it’s Serena’s turn. It was awkward for the players and poor organisation”.

Becker also spoke about soccer saying that he is a big fan of it. "My teams are Bayern Munich and Chelsea. I obviously like Barcelona and I like Leo Messi. My favorite team is Bayern, though." In an interview, Mike Bryan commented on his own excitement for tennis at 40 years of age: "Yeah, I am always excited to play.

Every day I realize I am getting closer to an end, so I enjoy every minute more. I try to give my best in the last part of my career. I realize that I spent 20 years enjoying on Tour and I realize I still love what I do. I wake up every morning with the desire of trying to be the best and win as many matches as I can.

2018 was very exciting for me, I had a sort of resurgence and I won several big tournaments without my brother which is very different. I feel pretty young to say the truth, I care about my body and preparation."
