I don't think Serena Williams will play from now to WTA Finals - Coach

Serena Williams's coach Patrick Mouratoglou spoke to ESPN about Serena Williams's schedule for the rest of the season. The American player usually ends her year at the US Open, and she may do the same this year. "I don't think she's going to play from now to WTA Finals", said Mouratoglou.

"She might play Shenzhen if she is qualified in top 8 of Race." Serena is currently fifth but, since many tournaments will be played in the next weeks and everyone will play multiple ones, she could leave the top eight.

In that case, she might compete at the China Open in Beijing. Serena lost the final in New York to Bianca Andreescu. The Canadian, speaking in a press conference, said: " Andreescu spoke of her idols: "Bassett, for sure, was very inspirational.

Steve Nash. I can name so many. But it's really nice for people to have that inspiration at a really young age. So when I step on the court, I just really try to show my best character, just to have that good example for other players.

Like I said many times, if I can do it, if Serena can do it, if Roger can do it, if Steve Nash can do it, then anyone can do it."
