Serena Williams reveals one of her best breakup stories

Serena Williams talked with two of her friends, Diondria (she knows her since the 4th grade) and Ciana (who had lived with Serena for a number of years), about the most interesting breakup stories of their lives. Here's what the 23 times Grand Slam winner stepped forward with.

“This guy took me to the beach once, you know I hadn’t been into him for quite a while and I was just like, ugh, now we have to hang out. So we went to the beach and you know blah, blah, blah… but I don’t think we should be together anymore.

And I’m thinking to myself ‘You wanted me to go to the beach for this? You could’ve texted me this”. Moreover, we learned that Serena doesn’t hold grudges on her exes. “I always wish them well.

Standard, and just move on, it’s not even that serious. It is what it is”.

How did Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian met?

Serena Williams has been rumoured to have many boyfriends, including Grigor Dimitrov, Drake, or even Patrick Mouratoglou, but what's for sure is that now she's living with her chosen soulmate, Alexis Ohanian.

Serena Williams described the moment she met her husband, the co-founder of Reddit, after they took a short “road trip”, driving circles around their home. Serena and Alexis met for the first time in 2015 at the Cavalieri Hotel, Rome.

Williams was getting ready for the opening match of the Italian Open, but she would have never expected to meet her future husband on the same day. On the morning of the matchday, Williams was sitting near the pool of the hotel, waiting for her breakfast and a part of her team to join her table, according to a Vanity Fair cover story.

Alexis Ohanian was a bit hungover after she drank with Kristen Wiig at a cafe until 1-2 in the morning, but he nevertheless decided to sit down at Serena’s table to work and eat something light. Serena resumed the rest of the story.

“This trip started in Rome 5 or 6 years ago. LOL! I’m the worst with timelines. He sat at my table. I asked him to leave. He refused..." See the rest of the story here.
