Rising South-African star Lloyd Harris says he is excited about playing alongside Kevin Anderson at the ATP Cup as he has tipped his fellow compatriot to have a big comeback season in 2020. South Africa will be one of 24 nations that will be featuring inaugural ATP Cup, which will be held across three Australian cities and take place from January 03-12.
South Africa will kick off its ATP Cup in Brisbane as they will be battling against Serbia, France and Chile for the top spot of Group A. Anderson, a two-time Grand Slam runner-up and former world No. 5, played just five events this past season before undergoing a right knee surgery in September.
"He (Anderson) is an unbelievable player. Injury means nothing. He just hasn’t been able to play this year. It has been a really tough year for him. But I have spoken to him and he is positive. He is not down about it at all," Harris told the ATP Cup.
"I think he is going to come back very strong next season. He is going to get his body fully ready and have a long time to prepare. He wants to come back in 2020 and be ready to crush it, so it is going to be unbelievable playing alongside him."
