Daniil Medvedev: I'm not bothered by paparazzi, I can still enjoy private life

World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev is happy that he is not chased by paparazzi and that he can still enjoy his private life. Medvedev, 25, captured his maiden Grand Slam title at this past US Open. Medvedev has been one of the best players in the world for a couple of years now but he reached another level after becoming a Grand Slam champion.

"When you win a Grand Slam tournament it is obvious that your popularity increases but you know that when you start playing tennis. After that, so far it's going well, I don't live in Los Angeles, and I haven't seen paparazzi in front of my house.

I am still fortunate to be able to enjoy my personal life with my loved ones in peace. It’s also the advantage of living in Monte ‐ Carlo. Afterwards, I must also admit that I am living in new situations where a lot of fans come to me, and there I say to myself, 'ah, ok he probably wants a photo etc''

The key is to find the right balance between the life of a champion and the one of everyday life," Medvedev said, per We Love Tennis.

Medvedev expects a tough clash when he meets Novak Djokovic again

In this past US Open final, Medvedev delivered one of his greatest performances ever as he destroyed Djokovic in straight sets to win his first Grand Slam in style.

Medvedev expects Djokovic to come with a different game plan and tactic when they face next time. "For the next match, he’s going to be different and prepare differently, I’m going to try to adapt to it and then there are different conditions like what is the court, how are the balls.

Who’s playing better this day? All the details come across when you play one of the greatest," Medvedev explained.
