Benoit Paire 'determined' to give his best at Paris Masters

French tennis star Benoit Paire wants to enjoy the Paris Masters to the fullest and end his season on a positive way. Paire, a former world No. 18, is set to make his eighth Paris Masters appearance. Paire has never made it past the second round in any of his previous seven appearances at Bercy.

Paire was drawn to meet Pablo Carreno Busta in his Paris Masters opener. "Paris Bercy !!! Just to tell you I want to enjoy this tournament together !! I will give my maximum so I am waiting for you to share a crazy atmosphere on this tournament," Paire said in an Instagram post.

Paire promised Babolat to stop breaking rackets

Paire is a temperamental player but he recently joked he promised Babolat he would stop breaking rackets. "After the rain comes the good weather! I would like to show my gratitude to Babolat who faithfully supports me and to all the people who work on a daily basis so that I can play in the best conditions.

Great experience for me to have spent time in the Babolat premises, and to have contributed to all the stages of preparing my equipment," Paire wrote in an Instagram post. "PS I told them I was going to stop breaking rackets."

Paire is known as one of the most laid-back players on the Tour. Recently, Alexander Bublik named Paire as the player with which he would go on a desert island. "It would have been tough with Andrey for sure (laughter).

He is a very hard-working guy and that is probably what makes him a great player. With whom would I want to be? With Benoit Paire, we would have had a lot of fun together. Once we spent six hours waiting for a transit flight in Chicago, we were flying from Cincinnati to Toronto.

I must say that those six hours just flew by only thanks to Paire and his special vibe. With him I would have had a good time even on a deserted island," Bublik said, as revealed by Ravi Ubha.
