British tennis star Emma Raducanu has revealed she "can't stand traffic" and that's her biggest pet peeve in life. "Traffic. I can't stand it. When I'm driving it's my pet peeve in life," Raducanu admitted to fashion and lifestyle magazine Harper's Bazaar, per Sportskeeda.
Raducanu, 19, is one of the most talented and promising players on the WTA Tour. Raducanu has been widely tipped to win multiple Grand Slams and become world No. 1 one day. If Raducanu wasn't a tennis player, she'd likely pursue a career in the finance industry.
"I would say something in the finance industry, I've always had a keen interest in that. That would probably be my dream job if I wasn't a tennis player because I quite like numbers, math and traveling," the 2021 US Open champion said.
Raducanu has had a slow start to 2022
Raducanu's 2022 season features a first round exit in Sydney, a surprise Australian Open second round defeat to Danka Kovinic and a first round retirement in Guadalajara. In a recent interview, tennis expert Barry Cowan insisted Raducanu's slow start to the season isn't concerning - at least for now.
"We all have to make sure that we’re not knee-jerking our reactions just because Emma loses a match, there’s so much tennis ahead of her,” Cowan told Sky Sports. “But I will always say, and I’m not just putting Emma Raducanu in that but across the sport, if you take your eye off the ball whoever you are then things can go wrong very quickly.
“That’s why I say you’ve got to be consistent in what you’re doing and have a consistent team around you and then when you have that and then you combine that with the talent and the mentality that she has you’re going to win tennis matches, and if you’re going to win tennis matches, you’re going to win titles."
