Former world No. 1 Yevgeny Kafelnikov thinks Carlos Alcaraz will have the most Grand Slam success at the French Open. After Alcaraz defeated Novak Djokovic to reach the Madrid final, Kafelnikov predicted that Alcaraz will have more French Open wins than wins at the remaining three Grand Slams combined.
Alcaraz has proved that he is more than capable of playing well on hard, having won his maiden Masters title in Miami. Alcaraz has won two clay titles this year as earlier this year he won Rio de Janeiro and Barcelona. This week in Madrid, Alcaraz beat Rafael Nadal and Djokovic in back-to-back matches.
!I’d say that he will win RG titles more then all other three combine," Kafelnikov tweeted.
Andy Roddick asked: "What other three?" Kafelnikov replied: "Wimby, AO, US."I’d say that he will win RG titles more then all other three combine — Kafelnikov Yevgeny (@KYevgeni) May 7, 2022

Alcaraz edged out Djokovic
The first ever meeting between Alcaraz and Djokovic was an absolute delight as Alcaraz edged out Djokovic 6-7 (5) 7-5 7-6 (5) after three hours and 35 minutes of play.
“I don’t know what the difference [between us] was," Alcaraz said. "It was so close. He had the chances to break my serve at the end of the second set. In the first set as well it was so close in the tie-break. Honestly I don’t know what made the difference”.
Alcaraz has managed to beat Nadal and Djokovic in the same tournament. On Sunday, Alcaraz will be aiming to win his fourth title of the year. “This gives me a lot of confidence to play the final tomorrow," Alcaraz said.
"I know that I played a really good game, and for the rest of the season I think I am able to play against the best players in the world and beat them as well, so it gives me a lot of confidence”. Alcaraz will certainly be among top contenders for the French Open title.
