Alex Corretja feels Nick Kyrgios could be top Wimbledon favorite when Big 3 are gone

Alex Corretja says he sees positive improvements in Nick Kyrgios' game and he believes the Australian can win a Grand Slam in the future. Kyrgios, 27, delivered a good fortnight of tennis at Wimbledon and reached his maiden Grand Slam final at The All England Club.
In the final, Kyrgios was playing well and going toe-to-toe with Novak Djokovic for pretty much the entire match but the Serb used his experience to clinch a 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6 (3) victory. When the Big Three are gone, Corretja feels Kyrgios will be the one who could be the top Wimbledon favorite.
"I think he is learning how to be himself, but at the same time, be a good tennis player. In a couple of weeks, he will realise and be pumped to continue growing, and if he becomes a little bit more consistent, he will be super difficult to beat here," Corretja said on Eurosport.
"Soon Djokovic won’t be here and Rafa won’t be here, and he [Kyrgios] is probably the one with the best grass-court game. So Nick has a chance in the future to win here, and I am sure he will be motivated. He had a great grass-court season, and I’m sure he will be back and will control his emotions”.
Kyrgios was happy with his Wimbledon campaign
After losing the final, Kyrgios smiled as he exchanged a few words with Djokovic at the net. During his on-court speech, Kyrgios admitted he was happy with his Wimbledon result and expressed hope to one day play in another Wimbledon final.
"I thought I played well. It’s been an amazing couple of weeks for me personally. Myself, my team, I think we are all exhausted, we’ve played so much tennis. I definitely need a well-earned vacation after this one.
I’m just really happy with this result, it’s probably the best of my career. Maybe one day I’ll be here again," Kyrgios said on-court. Kyrgios can also play extremely well on hard and it will be interesting to see how will he do at the US Open.
