Czech tennis star Marie Bouzkova couldn't hide her happiness after winning her first WTA title in Prague as she described it as a "dream come true." Bouzkova, 24, ousted Russia's Anastasia Potapova 6-0 6-3 in the Prague final.

Prior to Prague, Bouzkova had been 0-3 in WTA finals. But on Sunday she delivered a big performance and gave no chance to Potapova. "It's a dream for me to win my first title here at home," Bouzkova said after winning Prague, per the WTA website.

"I just couldn't be happier. It's a dream come true and I enjoyed playing in front of the home crowd so much."

Bouzkova closed out Potapova in straight sets

Potapova's Prague final got off on the wrong way as she blew two consecutive game points in the first game as Bouzkova claimed the first break in the very first game of the match.

After blowing two consecutive game points, Potapova didn't have a game or a break point in the rest of the first set as Bouzkova bageled the Russian to win the first set in impressive style. Then, five consecutive breaks of serve were seen at the start of the second set as Bouzkova led 3-2 after the opening five games.

In the sixth game, Bouzkova served out to love to get the first hold of serve in the second set and open a 4-2 lead. After losing her first five service games of the Prague final, Potapova finally managed to hold to one of her service games as she saved a break point in the seventh game to cut the deficit to 4-3.

But holding to one of her service games didn't lead to a break as Bouzkova served out the eighth game to open a 5-3 lead. In the ninth game - when Potapova was serving to stay in the final - Bouzkova clinched her sixth break of the match to complete a straight-set win.

Bouzkova is now scheduled to compete at the Citi Open in Washington, where she has been drawn to face Emma Raducanu in the first round.
