The CEO of the Italian Tennis Federation Angelo Binaghi celebrated the success achieved by Jannik Sinner at the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing, with eloquent words: "It is a wonderful day for Italian tennis." However, Binaghi also rightly criticized with harsh words all the haters who attacked the young Italian tennis player in recent weeks.

The Italian tennis CEO sent this clear message in an interview with the LaPresse news agency. Binaghi, in fatc, has not forgotten the numerous criticisms Sinner received a few weeks ago after giving up the Davis Cup.

He said: "It is a wonderful day for Italian tennis and for all those who in these 47 years have chased a dream which has now become a goal achieved thanks to Sinner's performances.

This success is dedicated to those idiots who in recent weeks have been relentless in being moralistic and know-it-alls against a boy who has demonstrated once again that he is a great player as well as a great person. They allowed themselves to attack a boy who remains a sporting and moral example for our entire country."

Sinner beats Medvedev to win the China Open 2023

Sinner finally managed to overcome Daniil Medvedev, capable of beating him six times out of six before the final played at the China Open, producing a magnificent performance.

The 22-year-old avoided falling into the Russian's trap, constantly looking for the net and relying on the famous kick serve, which allowed Novak Djokovic to surprise the Moscow native on more than one occasion at the US Open.

Sinner has shown that he can also adapt his game to the style of opponents capable of defending with determination beyond the baseline. This is the ninth title of his career for the Italian, a victory that brings him just one trophy away from the record set by Adriano Panatta for Italian tennis in the Open Era.

Sinner will now be busy at the ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai and already knows the name of his next opponent, Marcos Giron. The American beat Daniel Elahi Galan in two sets.
