The level of tennis expressed during the tournament was exceptional: no one played the tennis of Aryna Sabalenka, who deservedly won the Australian Open 2024. The Belarusian defeated the young Chinese Qinwen Zheng in straight sets, dominating the final, just as she dominated the entire tournament.

During the on court interview, the winner of the title thanked her team and shared beautiful words for her young rival.

"I know it's tough to lose a final, Qinwen, but you're a young girl and you'll play many more," she said, about her young rival.

"It's fantastic to win here again, I'm super happy. Thanks to all the people who helped me these days: I felt under pressure in these two weeks but I tried not to think about it too much. I'm surprised at the level of tennis I have shown. When I was about to close it wasn't the best moment of the match, but there could be a bit of tension," Sabaleka said.

"My team gave me a super power!"

The Belarusian then thanked her team: "My team gave me a super power: of course, I played a little better here than in the final in Brisbane! Without you I wouldn't be here but without me you wouldn't be like this well done! Thanks to my parents for everything they have done in my life. I know you don't understand English but someone will translate it for you: you are my motivation, everything I do I do for you."

Sabalenka while clutching the trophy praised the Rod Laver Arena crowd, who always stood by her throughout the tournament.

Zheng, visibly disappointed, complimented the winner of the tournament: "Congratulations to Aryna, you deserved to win. Right now it's difficult for me to talk. It was my first Slam final: I thank my team for helping me get there here. I'm sure there will be more finals here in Australia, and better ones."
