Frances Tiafoe gave an interesting interview to Sky Sport, talking about the hardness of tennis, considered by the American to be the hardest sport ever. Tiafoe, currently engaged in Acapulco for the ATP 500 tournament, spoke about this, comparing it to other disciplines, which in her opinion are not so difficult.

"For me, tennis is the most difficult sport there is, for many reasons. The balls, for example, are much smaller than in other sports, which requires excellent hand-eye coordination. Another reason is that in tennis there is no clock, there are no other sports where you don't know when you will finish playing," he explained.

Tiafoe, in recent weeks, has declared that he wants to move on after a 2023 season that wasn't played to his best potential.

Tiafoe: "I would like to have fun and competing at the best level"

"For most of 2023 I put pressure on myself, it was very complicated for me. Last year I was very results-oriented, maybe too much, but it was still a fantastic year, even if I didn't play as I would have liked in the big events When I didn't get what I wanted, here came the problems, which became worse at the end of the season. Now my intention is to get back to doing what I do best, having fun and competing at a high level.

It is the first match of the season, under the guidance of a new coach; so, I think I did a good job. I have developed a great level of tennis, Miomir is a great player. So, I'm happy with my performance. For most of 2023 I put pressure on myself, it was very complicated for me. I'm trying to bring out my personality again. Tonight was a promising start, every little detail matters along the way, brick by brick.

Rome was not built in a day. A lot of people are interested in what I achieved this year, the answer is that I feel good, I have a lot of confidence this season. I had a great pre-season, I made some changes, but it's just a perspective, everything is oriented towards the long term. Now I'm very cautious on this point. Now my intention is to get back to doing what I do best, having fun and competing at a high level." he told.

Tiafoe will make his debut in Mexico against Max Purcell.

Returning to what Tiafoe said at the beginning of the interview, I would like to close the article with a personal consideration: tennis is one of the hardest sports, both from a physical and mental point of view. Playing it at a high level means making great sacrifices, spending part of your days training to achieve the desired results.
