"Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal had a very beautiful and challenging rivalry at the same time. What I learned from them is that you can never fall behind, give up or settle. You always have to improve, you always have to raise your level. It doesn't matter if you think you are at your best, that you can't give more, you can always give a little more.

This is what they have demonstrated over many years up there at the top. Every time one lost to the other, they tried to improve to win the next time. And they've been doing it for a long time, which is something incredible and worthy of admiration."

These are the words shared by Carlos Alcaraz after winning the match against his countryman Carballes Baena at the Miami Open.

Carlitos answered to a specific question from journalists, who in the press conference compared the rivalry between Federer and Nadal to that between Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.

"I hope I can have a rivalry like they had. Right now, the way people see it, it could be with Jannik. Hopefully both Jannik and I have a long and beautiful future ahead of us. That way I hope to be able to give my best and continue to grow thanks to him," he told.

Alcaraz and Sinner inherit the new era from the Big 3

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are inheriting the role of protagonists of the new tennis era from the Big 3. The Spanish and Italian have already reached an important maturity and, for some time now, they have always been among the main favorites to win the tournaments they play.

Theirs is the most followed rivalry of modern tennis, but above all of the future, which has fascinated many people around the world.

As in Indian Wells, they are also wowing the crowd at the Hard Rock Stadium, who came to see them at the Miami Open. The Spaniard dreams of conquering and completing the Sunshine Double, having won in California.
