Diego Schwartzman made a comparison among Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, indicating who impressed him the most during his career.

The Argentine tennis player admitted that, in his opinion, Nadal is different than Djokovic and Federer.

"With Djokovic, on the days when he is angry or a little down, you always have the idea that you can do something. With Federer, thanks to his coolness and the fact that everything is quite calm, you don't feel stressed when you play with him.

On the other hand, playing against Rafa is another thing, another dimension, you know that every point will be a battle because Nadal plays every ball as if it were the last one in his life, it's terrifying," he explained during an interview on the ESPN program.

Schwartzman, who is not going through a happy period, tennis-wise, admitted that he suffers from the inability to be competitive, thanks to his advancing age and the high level of his opponents.

"There are days when I don't feel like doing anything, but there are others when I think: It's today and I'm going out there to work hard. Regardless of what may happen this year, good or bad, I am aware that I still don't have much in the tank, but with the victories I can stretch it a little more. Victory always generates something different in your body, with defeat everything costs a little more, it's a painful process that wears you out," confessed the Argentine tennis player.

The era of the Big 3 is coming to an end

What Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic were able to do is difficult to translate into any other sport. Epic battles, endless stories to pass down to posterity and many victories.

It is unlikely that a tennis player who has recently taken or is taking his first steps in this sport cannot point to one of the three super champions as an idol, or simply as a point of reference, due to physical or mental peculiarities.

But like everything in life, the Big 3 era is coming to an end, after more than twenty years of dominance.
