Etcheverry on his idol Del Potro

In Argentina it is not difficult to take inspiration from a tennis player like Juan Martin del Potro.

"He has always been my role model. I hope one day to play like him, he has always been an example to follow and he is my idol. I tried to copy him when I was little, that's the truth! I look up to his tennis a lot, even if I try to follow my own path now.

I don't have his weapons yet, I'm trying to hit the ball as hard as him," said Etcheverry. Etcheverry entered the top 100 for the first time in the middle part of 2022 and never left it; indeed, tournament after tournament, he managed to make great strides forward with dedication and humility.
