"When a normal player advances ten steps he advances a hundred. If he manages to play two or three more matches at the Internazionali d'Italia in Rome, Rafael Nadal will be very dangerous in Paris at the Roland Garros."

The former 2-time Roland Garros finalist Alex Corretja talked about Rafael Nadal's prospects at the Roland Garros, sharing very interesting thoughts.

According to Corretja, Rafa can still do very well in Paris, if he manages to play some good matches before in Rome. Nadal recently played the Madrid tournament for the last time and is now preparing to play Rome and then go to Paris.

Corretja explained how Rome will be Crucial for Nadal

Corretja analyzed how - beyond the defeat in the 4th round against the Czech Jiri Lehecka - the three victories in Madrid (of which one obtained against Alex De Minaur) were decisive in increasing his confidence level.

"If Nadal manages to play two or three more games in Rome, he will be very dangerous in Paris. Nobody wants to play against Nadal in a best of five sets. The draw will also be important. But first we will have to see how he will behave in Rome.

Rome will be fundamental to see how he feels physically. Rafa is progressing at breakneck speed. He is ready to achieve great things, which is really impressive after everything he's been through," he said in an interview with L'Equipe.

Nadal has not yet definitively confirmed his participation at the Roland Garros, saying that he would evaluate it after Rome.
