Rafael Nadal's come back in Rome left great euphoria among the Spanish champion's fans, galvanized by the fact that the 22-time Slam champion said how this might not be the last Italian Open of his career, unlike what happened in Madrid. His run in Rome was interrupted in the second round by the defeat against Hubert Hurkacz and now, the Spanish tennis player will focus all his efforts on the upcoming Roland Garros.

Also in Rome is WTA No.1 Iga Swiatek, who is showing a truly excellent state of psycho-physical form. After the dominated victory in straight sets against Madison Keys (6-1 6-3) and having reached Coco Gauff in the semifinals of the tournament, the Pole shared interesting words at the press conference with her idol Nadal and beyond.

"It's nice to look at Rafa's forehand, for example, how he uses this rotation to make a difference. His backhand is also quite flat. I think we have a lot of similarities there. It's not like I really focus on that because he's a guy, he has different powers, different strengths will I ever be able to spin the ball like he does. Overall I'm a fan of him especially the way he carries himself told," she told.

Iga also talked about her next opponent, Coco Gauff.

"I didn't play against Coco in juniors. I only remember her when she won Roland Garros and I lost in the semi-final to Caty McNally. You know these names. A decision you make when you're 17 can create a completely different path. I'm just lucky to have made good decisions and have brave people around me, so I can be here, I guess it feels pretty similar I think it's how we create a bigger story behind these matches sometimes. So I like it a challenge. I think it's interesting for the FAs too. Yes, there are definitely a lot of players I played against in the juniors. I'm definitely happy to be the one who finished at the top of the rankings," she explained.
