Speaking to the media after the match against Sabalenka, Badosa said how last year she was on the couch watching the French Open, so she's grateful to be back in this position after everything she's been through.

"I just remind myself that last year in this situation I was on the couch watching the tournament on TV. So, being here, I'm grateful. Today I had the opportunity to play against one of the best players in the world, Philippe Chatrier. I think I should be grateful for that after what I've been through. I'll try to move on as soon as possible, because it's worth it.

How do you manage to move on so quickly after such a tough match like today? It's part of tennis. We're used to it. We've been doing this since we were young. It's not easy, obviously, but we're used to falling and we have to get up every single day, and I think that's maybe the hardest part of this sport. Besides, I'll try to enjoy it. It's an opportunity. It's also a beautiful opportunity to share the court with someone you love," she told.
