The great fear faced in the memorable match against Naomi Osaka is now a distant memory on the horizon for Iga Swiatek. the Pole also got rid of Marketa Vondrousova, qualifying for the Roland Garros semi-finals. And on a court that has become a clay of conquest for the Polish player. Even today, the court told a clear story. After having given a very hard 6-0, 6-0 to Anastasia Potapova, Swiatek also literally destroyed the Wimbledon champion. The result speaks for itself: 6-0 6-2. A warning for all her opponents, starting with Coco Gauff, who will meet her in the semi-final.

At the on-court interview, the WTA No.1 spoke of the feeling of total control she feels on the court when she plays, as if nothing could go wrong.

"Today was pretty easy. I'm happy that I kept my focus. Sometimes I felt like the game was quite intense. Sometimes the intensity dropped a little. I just wanted to play my game, whatever came back from Marketa. I felt like I'm in the zone today," analyzed Iga.

Swiatek then talked about the upcoming highly anticipated semifinal against Coco Gauff, explaining how her opponent has a great attitude, especially when she plays at the Roland Garros (where Coco has already played in a final).

"Honestly the same as before every match. You don't want to change your routine. It's good to move forward and not think of this match as something huge. Against Coco it's not easy. She really likes clay-courts, especially here. I'll just focus on myself, prepare tactically and we'll see," explained Swiatek.
