Coco Gauff and the Roland Garros clay courts have an excellent feeling. The young American qualified for the semifinals of the Parisian Major, coming from behind to beat Ons Jabeur with a score of 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. In the seventh game, Gauff lost control of her backhand and serve, giving Jabeur confidence. The Tunisian did not let herself be influenced by the two unconverted set points before closing on serve. In the second set, from 2-1, everything changed. Jabeur lost her way and, despite the immediate counter break, lost serve three times in a row. Gauff took advantage of the favorable moment and also started the decisive set in the best way. Now Iga Swiatek, the great favorite for the final victory in Paris, will be there for her.

At the press conference, the young American analyzed the highly anticipated semifinal match against Swiatek. Coco explained how she will enter the court without thinking about the previous matches dominated by the Pole here in Paris in the previous rounds. Furthermore, Gauff said the pressure will be on Iga.

"I've got to find a better way to approach it than the last time I played on clay because obviously I haven't been successful the last two times we've played. I'm going to come in and try to win. I've got nothing to lose, all the pressure is on Swiatek. I can't think of players from the past, you know, Anastasia Potapova is not me, I'm not Marketa Vondrousova, maybe I could lose with the same score, maybe not. She's definitely a difficult opponent for me and for anyone else, but yes , I'll just have to go back and look and try to find what I need to do. But I'm going into the game with a lot of belief that I can. When I went into it in Cincinnati, I didn't go into the game thinking, Oh, I can. I've never beaten her before, I've never done a set on her," explained Coco.

Also in the press conference, Gauff talked about the upcoming NBA Finals between the Mavericks and Celtics, revealing which team she will support.

"I'm not 100% for one team, but I'm a Miami Heat fan and we lost in the first round, but maybe next season. For the NBA Finals it's the Mavericks and the Celtics. I think I'll pick the Mavericks just because I really like it Kyrie Irving and I met him a couple of years ago," she told.
