The Russian, who made the no at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 official as several of his countrymen, will face Marcos Giron. The American defeated Andy Murray last week at the Boss Open and is not an opponent to be underestimated on the grass.

After the match between Rublev and Giron - then around 14:00 - it will be up to Sinner. Jannik Sinner is rubbing shoulders with other sporting stars, including Charles Leclerc.

Charles Leclerc comments on Jannik Sinner

Recently, Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc talked about Jannik Sinner: “So far we have only seen each other at a few award ceremonies but we agree that soon we will go and play padel. Although for me it will not be a great day.”

Jannik Sinner, for the first time on the field at number one in the ATP ranking, will face a rival of the caliber of Tallon Griekspoor.

The 22-year-old from San Candido won all four of the previous races, but they were very balanced. The two only competed on concrete and the last direct clash - the one played at the Masters 1000 in Miami - saw Sinner complete an important comeback.

At 16:00 Alexander Zverev will take the field after the final lost at Roland Garros, in the German derby with the qualified Oscar Otte. Stefanos Tsitsipas closes the games on the Central, struggling with Henri Squire.

On Court 1, however, will play the first round match between Matteo Berrettini and Alex Michelsen. The Azzurri will be waiting for the matches of Joao Fonseca and the reigning champion Alexander Bublik who will find James Duckworth and Max Purcell on the other side of the net respectively.

In the doubles tournament, Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli will face Griekspoor and Jan-Lennard Struff on Court 2.
