"You will be battling Paula Badosa for a place in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.

During the on-court interview following her victory in three very difficult sets over Dayana Yastremska, the Croatian tennis player Donna Vekic expressed her happiness for the important victory, then joked with the interviewer who revealed live the name of her next opponent in the Wimbledon 4th round: Paula Badosa. Donna jokingly pointed out that she had no idea who her opponent would be in the next round of the Championships, joking:

"Thank you for telling me the draw. I never check! Paula has had an incredible comeback from her injuries. It was very difficult for her. I am really happy to see her do well. It will be a great match. I'm really excited."

About the victory over Yastremska - a match in which the Croatian wasted 9 match points - Vekic analyzed: "This is one of my favorite courts. When they changed our courts I was really happy and excited to play in front of you guys. Thank you so much for such a great atmosphere. I had a match point in the second set. It was a bit tough after losing the set in the tiebreak. I really enjoy playing. This is my favorite tournament. I thought: OK, overtime on Court 1 is not that bad!"

Her next opponent in the 4th round, Badosa, expressed all her happiness and emotion for the achievement, after an endless series of physical problems, unable to hold back the tears for what she did. In her on-court interview after the victory over Daria Kasatkina, Paula said:

"I will be very ashamed of this video later, but it's okay (she said, in tears - ed.). Against Dasha it's always a battle. She's a fantastic player. She's been at the top for so many years. It's very special for me. It's not the first time that I've been in the second week of a slam. For me it's the most special. Because a few months ago, I didn't know if I would be able to play tennis.
