What does it need Holger Rune to be like Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner? A question to which Novak Djokovic, who will challenge Rune in the 4th round of Wimbledon, a match that will be played tomorrow, answered. Djokovic is ahead 3-2 in head-to-head matches and has won the last two matches, at the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris-Bercy and at the Nitto ATP Finals, but Rune has always put him in difficulty. Even in their first meeting - played in 2021 at the US Open - the Dane managed to take home a set against him, showing himself off in the world of the greats.

"I get along very well with him, he's a great guy. He's always behaved very well with my team and I always try to be there for him, both for training and for some advice. His mother and sister have always been very nice to us, we get along, we respect each other and I think we have similar tennis styles. When it comes to playing and competing on the court, we both have that inner fire. I'm sure we'll see a lot of energy on the court on Monday. He's a spectacular player, who loves big events and playing these matches.

I'll need my best tennis to win. Holger has always had a great work ethic. If he sees something that's not right, he works to improve it. That's what I've always liked most about him. He's a complete tennis player. He probably lacks a bit of consistency in terms of results compared to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, but he's ready to do great things. Maybe he needs a bit more time mentally to mature and understand how to play in certain moments, but he's already quite experienced for being only 21," said Djokovic about Rune, at the press conference.

Nole and Holger often train together and share a good friendship. The Dane has stated on several occasions that the Serbian champion has given him great advice and that he has improved thanks to his support.
