Andy Murray has gone back to reuniting with former coach Ivan Lendl and has already bagged a record fifth Queen’s title under his supervision. The title comes a few weeks after the Scot split with his coach, Amelie Mauresmo and contemplating on the partnership, Serena Williams’s coach, Patrick Mouratoglou has labeled the hiring of the French woman as strange.
“Nothing bad about women, but it's strange because usually they don't know the men's game as well as the women's game, and it's a very macho world.”Mouratoglou said. “It was very courageous of Andy to hire her. I'm not saying it was a mistake, but he didn't win anything major with Amelie.”
“If Andy had won two or three grand slams with Amelie, we would see it differently.”
During the two year partnership with Mauresmo, the World No 2 may have been able to add a few titles to his name. But the Scot could not add to the two Grand Slam titles he won while working Lendl and therefore has gone back to working with the 56 year old.
