Stan Wawrinka did not get the best of starts to the ATP Tour Finals as the World No 3 lost in straight sets to Kei Nishikori. The Swiss man bounced back in his second game as he overcame Marin Cilic to keep his hopes alive, however, in order for him to have a chance at staying in the competition, Wawrinka will have to bring his best game as he takes on Andy Murray in the final group game.
"I'm going to try to play my best tennis, to beat the world No 1. It's going to be a tough match. We played many times each other. He's playing his best tennis so far.” "It's going to be interesting.
I'm happy to play here in front of his home crowd. I'm sure it's going to be a great atmosphere.” Wawrinka said. "For me, it's already tough to beat Andy Murray here. I'm going to focus on what I can do, try to win, and we will see after the match." Interestingly Murray has managed to win both of his matches but however he is not guaranteed to qualify out of the group stages and could go out if he loses straight sets and while Nishikori manages a win over Cilic.
