World number 13 Nick Kyrgios thinks Adam Pavlasek could experience further rise in his career. Czech tennis player Pavlasek is currently on his career high ranking of number 75 in the world. He started last season at number 160 - ended the year at number 75.
The Australian beat the Czechman at the Hopman Cup in Perth Tuesday in a two-set battle 7-5 6-4. ''I was actually really surprised the way he (Pavlasek) serves,'' Kyrgios said after the match. ''I heard that he serves pretty well.
But, he's gotta a very tricky ball toss --- he sorta throws it right little bit, it can go both ways on the outside. ''That's gonna be a weapon for him that he can use. ''I'm assuming that he's gonna develop his game and climb ub the ranks pretty soon.
You know, I think he's gonna have a pretty good year.'' Pavlasek won the Challenger events in Prague and Banja Luka in 2016. He reached the French Open second-round in the same year --- where he had lost to Jeremy Chardy.
It remains to be seen if the world number 75 can continue his development and potentially reach the top-50 this season. Also read: Nick Kyrgios eyeing to improve fitness under guidance of fitness coach Martin Skinner
