Grigor Dimitrov: 'Emotional week. My goal is to qualify for ATP Finals'

Second title of the year after the one in Brisbane for Grigor Dimitrov, who won in Sofia beating David Goffin in the final. 'It was extremely emotional week', the Bulgarian player said. 'One of the most emotional in my life.

It was not only the last match. I was nervous at the end. It is pretty different to play at home. I felt it once again. I am happy with the victory. I accept this. I will enjoy my time here till the end of the day. Tomorrow everything starts again.' What was the hardest moment? 'The first match for sure.

Today… The first set, the end of the second. Everything was on my side. I was leading 5/0 40-0. Sometimes it happens. I tried to be ready, calmer, to focus in every point. Unfortunately… I knew I could break his serve, I could win my serve game.

I am happy that I won and I was really mentally stable in the end of the match.' And about the rest of the season he added: 'I have great ambitions. I want to reach the ATP Finals in London.' Alexander Zverev won the title in Montpellier beating Richard Gasqueg.

'I'm very happy to win my first title of the year', said Zverev. 'Obviously it was a very tough tournament, only one straight-sets match in the whole tournament, today, and it was not an easy one. I think it was a high-level match and I'm happy to get the win.

It's great to win singles and doubles. I'm very happy the way we played. We only dropped one set in the tournament. I think it was a very successful tournament for the Zverevs.' ALSO READ: Tickets re-sold at a higher price for the exhibition between Murray and Federer
