Yannick Noah: 'Stan Wawrinka should be more connected to the crowd'

In an interview to We Are Tennis, the captain of the French Davis and Fed Cup team Yannick Noah spoke about the relationship between players and the crowd. Asked which is the player that he would like to see closer to the crowd, Noah indicated the 2015 Roland Garros winner Stan Wawrinka.

'He should relax a little bit', Noah commented on Stan breaking rackets in his poor days. Also, he spoke about his outfit: 'When he won a few years ago he had some bad shorts like if he had to go on the beach. It only missed the mouthpiece and it would have been great! No really, it wasn't so great.

Stan needs to make an effort and get closer to the crowd. Do something man...', said Noah, who is the last Roland Garros male winner as he won in 1983. This year Wawrinka reached the Brisbane and Australian Open semifinals losing respectively to Grigor Dimitrov and Roger Federer, the fourth round in Miami and Monte Carlo and the Indian Wells final where he lost to Federer again.
