Nalbandian: 'I don't miss tennis at all! Federer is phenomenal'

In a recent interview to the Argentinean Radio Program Codigo tennis, David Nalbandian spoke about his career and his passion for the sport. The former world no. 3 said he was 'super satisfied' with what he did in his playing days. 'I didn’t leave anything pending.

I did all I could with what I had. Passion for tennis and for sport is a spectacular thing. Were I to be reborn, I would be a tennis player again,' said Nalbandian, who won 11 ATP Titles. He also admitted that if it wasn't for the shoulder injury, he would have played the whole 2013 season instead of calling it a career in October.

However, 'I don’t miss tennis at all. It is a moment [of my life] that has now come to a close.' He added that nowadays he watches tennis only 'in front of the TV and there is a good match on, never the first rounds.' Nalbandian also praised two veterans like Tommy Haas and Roger Ferderer.

About the first, he said that 'he will continue competing and fighting, after all those injuries'. About Federer instead: 'It’s an incredible and phenomenal thing that Roger Federer could maintain this level [of play].' ALSO READ: Roger Federer and his wife Mirka attend Pippa Middleton's wedding!
