On Tennis Channel TV, James Blake and Justin Gimelstob commented on Novak Djokovic's much-awaited return to the Tour. The Serb player will play his first ATP event in 2018 in Doha where he will seek his third title in a row.
Blake, a former world no. 4, said he expected Djokovic to be fresh with a new attitude, after having taken a break from competition for five months. Gimelstob, John Isner's former coach, said: 'He seems healthy, physically feeling better, mentally.
Physical skills are incredible, one of the best sport has ever seen and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the same dynamic as we have seen with Federer and Nadal.' Djokovic's last tournament in the 2017 season was at Wimbledon, where he retired mid-match in his quarter-final against Tomas Berdych.
