Victoria Azarenka is looking forward to starting her campaign at the French Open, her last tournament in 2016 before she stopped in order to prepare for pregnancy. The Belarusian player is finding some consistency on the WTA Tour after the long legal battle with her boyfriend for their son's custody.
This experience has taught many things to Azarenka, that in a recent interview to Eurosport admitted: 'Tennis is not the most important thing for me anymore, because it's my son. And I am not the most important thing anymore either, it's my son.
So that's a different perspective, and you realize there is much more to life than a tennis match, but it's still important, it's part of my job and it's what I love to do and I still have a lot of desire to achieve my personal goals.
I'm gonna work hard, but off the court, I have different priorities right now.' Speaking about her tennis, the former world No. 1 added: 'My game is evolving well, I just try to improve one day at a time and right now I need to be realistic and passionate with myself.
