Coach Gunter Bresnik claimed in an interview given to Kleine Zeitung that he has been offered a coaching job from several top players but he plans on rejecting all of them. Bresnik, a long-time coach of Dominic Thiem, hasn't traveled to tournaments with the Austrian since Nicolas Massu was added to the coaching staff.
However, Bresnik has remained in regular contact with Thiem and Massu. The collaboration between Thiem and Massu has been a success so far as the Austrian has won two titles in six tournaments played since hiring the Chilean.
Thiem won his maiden Masters 1000 title at the Indian Wells Masters before he won it all at the Barcelona Open last week. Recently, there have been lots of rumors that the long-time partnership between Thiem and Bresnik may come to an end as the Austrian's form has been on the rise since adding Massu to the team.
Bresnik also coaches former world No. 10 Ernests Gulbis and promising Mira Antonitsch. Bresnik plans on accompanying the Latvian at a few tournaments.
