As revealed by Twitter user De Nela, Austrian tennis player Dennis Novak is back in Vienna resting after concluding his grass season as he is set to play several clay court tournaments before he kicks off his US Open preparation.
The Austrian's 2019 grass campaign included a quarterfinal showing at the Nottingham Challenger -- a runner-up finish at the Ilkley Challenger -- and a first round exit at Wimbledon, where he won three qualifying matches to make his second appearance at Tee Championships.
First on the list of Novak's upcoming three clay tournaments will be Bastad -- which is set to take place next week. Novak -- who achieved a career-high ranking of No. 104 in the world at the end of last month -- told ORF that he is now aiming to continue his ranking rise as he is hoping to soon break into the top-100.
Also, the 25-year-old will continue working with his coach Julian Knowle as he wants to improve his serve and attitude on the court. Novak could fulfil his dream of making the top-100 as he doesn't have a lot of points to defend in the upcoming period.
