French tennis veteran Nicolas Mahut has revealed why he is a more of a Rafael Nadal fan than a Roger Federer fan. The 37-year-old claims it is "impossible" to take Federer as an example because what he does "normally you can't do."
Federer is arguably the greatest player ever at the moment as he is a record 20-time Grand Slam champion and has spent the most weeks on the No. 1 spot. Despite being 37 years old, the Swiss is still extremely committed and dedicated to the game and a always a top favorite at the biggest tournaments.
Meanwhile, 37-year-old Mahut keeps achieving success in doubles as he and fellow compatriot Eduard Roger-Vasselin have been through to the Wimbledon final. Mahut and Roger-Vasselin saw off Croatian Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek of Slovakia in straight sets to reach the final in style.
The Frenchmen will be fighting against Colombia's Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah for the main glory. "I asker myself this question 50 times. It goes more with the attitude, the commitment. It is impossible to take Roger as an example -- what he does normally you can't do," Mahut said per Quentin Moynet, when asked why he's a Nadal fan when his offensive game style should push him towards Federer.
