A new Sampras legacy on the way on the ATP Pro Tour?

Not many tennis players' sons usually start their career on the Tour. But lately, we have seen some changes. Petr Korda has his son Sebastian who played in the Australian Open junior draw, Bjorn Borg's son Leo played in Wimbledon earlier this month and Ryan Sampras may join the Tour again.

Ryan, whose father is the 14-time Grand Slam winner Pete, has the desire to become a professional player. "He is playing a lot, he started playing junior tennis and knowing what it means to play this game", he said.

"So far, he has only played team sports. He is still far from the professional sport, it's difficult to make it but we will see how things go. I am happy he has a passion and likes it." On his 1999 Wimbledon title, Sampras added: "It's by far the best tennis I have ever played, almost a perfect match."

Meanwhile, on Juan Martin del Potro's withdrawal from Los Cabos, the Tournament Director said: "It's really sad. It's another injury. We hope Juan Martin really has a fast recovery. Everyone on the tour is very concerned about his future and we wish him the best.

We hope to see him on the courts again in Acapulco or Los Cabos or any other tournament." The Argentine has also withdrawn from the Rogers Cup in Montreal and from the Cincinnati Open. World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has also withdrawn from the Rogers Cup. The Serbian will, however, play in Cincinnati where he is the defending champion.
