In a press conference, Reilly Opelka praised the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, who has made his breakthrough on the Tour this year by reaching three finals and yet to win a title... Opelka, who will face Auger-Aliassime on Wednesday in Washington, said: "He is the best talent we have seen on the ATP Tour in years.
Him, Zverev, Stefanos and I'd throw de Minaur in there, they are in their own group. Those four are pretty elite. They are going to be top 8 guys, consistently, for the next 10-to-12 years. Felix is as good as they come. Obviously, he has got the mindset of a champion already.
You could tell by his demeanour, how he is on the court, how professional he is, how he carries himself, it's pretty impressive especially from an 18-year-old kid. He is different. That's one thing you will find in common with all the great players - they are different.
That's why they are great. They are abnormal. He is abnormal. To be 18 and to be in the top 20 in the world is certainly not a normal thing. So, obviously he has a lot of things going for him, but mentally he is as elite as you can find."
