In an interview to Tag Blatt, Belinda Bencic spoke about her romantic relationship with her fitness trainer Martin Hromkovic. The Swiss player said: "It's not that difficult. For me the situation is good. Martin has a good character for me and he manages to motivate me with variety and creativity every day.
He is strict too!" In an interview with Tag Blatt, Belinda Bencic was asked what was the last time that she slept in her own bed. The Swiss replied: "Hm, I do not know. That's a good question. What's my bed? The one in Oberuzwil in my parents' house? The one in Slovakia that I share with my partner? Or the one in Monte Carlo? I would say I have three beds on my own and I move a bit here and there."
Asked if she ever woke up asking herself where she is, Bencic replied: "Yes, it happened several times. Especially when I am in a new place for the first time. Sometimes it's sad when you are not at home for a long time.
Here in Europe, it's better because you take short air flights. If you are in America or Asia, it's different. But I do not want to complain." Bencic believes that training in the event days before the main draw action starts is good: "I like to go to tournaments and prepare.
I came here already after Cincinnati, so I have plenty of time to prepare here. I don't know, my game didn't change much. Obviously just tried to improve. I think the first tournaments of every swing you kind of get used to playing again.
Normally after Wimbledon, you have a little bit off. Yeah, you're just trying to get into the rhythm, get match play, get used to the mental toughness again. I think the Grand Slams are most important, of course."
