John McEnroe: 'Laver Cup takes things to another level'

John McEnroe feels proud to be Team World's captain for the third consecutive year at the Laver Cup. The American said: "So far it's been great. I only came on Tuesday but we are excited. It seems like it took to another level and makes me wish I was still playing.

It makes feel the players special." Bjorn Borg: "We have a good team spirit, it means a lot for me to have these guys in the same team. The whole week has been very good, I am happy that everybody waits the whole year for this week, it's the most important week for me.

It's gonna be very exciting matches. Team World is strong, the last two years it was close matches and this year it will be too. Tough matches and good tennis. We are gonna try to defend our title." Team World's John Isner concluded: "It's amazing.

It feels great to be back in Europe. In Chicago, we had an unbelievable time. It's a nice country, beautiful place, Geneva. On our side, we have the best possible strikers in the world, a great doubles team. Denis, Shapo, myself, Nick are serving unbelievably well, Milos too."

Roger Federer, speaking of Team World, said: “I like their craziness, it’s all good. I think they’re good guys and they’ve been great the last two Laver Cups, we’ve had a great rivalry. Laver Cup isn’t very old but I feel like it’s all happening, and I’m happy to see all the guys here in my home country. We have such a strong team again this year and I’m very, very happy and excited about the weekend”.
