Chilean world No. 34 Cristian Garin says ha is extremely satisfied with his season as he hopes to end it on a positive way at the inaugural Davis Cup Finals. The Chilean, who is enjoying a breakthrough season on the Tour, made three finals this year and claimed two titles.
Garin, who started the year ranked at No. 84 in the world, also achieved a career-high ranking of No. 32 this year. In his last tournament played, Garin made the Paris Masters quarterfinal before losing to Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.
"This season has been really good for me, playing all the big tournaments and improving my level,” Garin told the Davis Cup Finals. “I finished my ATP season by amassing lots of indoor matches in Paris, where the surface is almost the same as we have here.
I gained confidence from that." Chile, led Team Captain Nicolas Massu, will share Group C with Germany and Argentina. "We still have three to four days of training so I hope to continue improving my level," Garin added.
