Top-ranked Croatian Borna Coric is looking forward to leading his country at the inaugural ATP Cup in January as the 23-year-old says he loves "something new." The ATP Cup will take place across three Australian cities -- ahead of the Australian Open -- from January 03-12 as 24 nations will be divided into six groups, each consisting of four teams.
The winner of each group and the two best second-placed nations will qualify for the quarterfinals. "It is going to be something different. We never had that and I am just really looking forward to seeing how it is going to look and how the courts are going to be.
There are not many tournaments which I haven’t played on the calendar, to be honest, so I am always looking forward when I have something new. Especially now, with this new format as well," Coric exclusively told the ATP Tour.
Croatia will kick off its ATP Cup campaign in Sydney as they will be battling against Austria, Argentina and Poland for the top place in Group E.
