2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic is looking forward to his team's opener at the ATP Cup as he hopes the Croatian community in Sydney will come to Ken Rosewall Arena and give a big support to the Croatian team. Croatia is set for a tough opener as they will kick off its ATP Cup campaign on Saturday against Austria, which will be led by back-to-back French Open runner-up Dominic Thiem.
Former world No. 3 Cilic will take on rising Austrian Dennis Novak in the opening rubber of the tie, before world No. 28 Coric faces fourth-ranked Thiem in the second rubber. "We start on Saturday against Austria and we hope we're going to have great support from our Croatian community in Sydney," Cilic told the ATP Cup, as revealed on the tournament's Twitter account.
Croatia will also meet Poland on Monday and Argentina in their Round Robin finale as they will be aiming to finish on top of Group E and automatically clinch a quarterfinal berth.
