USA's Kristie Ahn said she never expected that one of her recent TikTok videos would blow up. In one of her most popular videos, the American mentioned the Big Three and her phone started blowing up. Ahn, 27, suggested that Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer's friendship excludes Novak Djokovic.
The 27-year-old claims she meant no harm but still there were a lot of mad fans in her comment section. The video received nearly 70,000 views and hundreds of comments. "Ahh the controversial one," Ahn told The Telegraph UK.
"I never expected it to blow up. I made that as poking fun about how the media portrays the relationship between the Big Three, so it was a little banter. But other people are very sensitive, so I had to mute [the replies] on that thread, because it was getting to be too much."
Ahn, ranked at No. 96 in the world, broke into the top-100 for the first time in her career last year. The 27-year-old has no WTA titles to her name but she achieved a career-high ranking of No. 87 in the world last year. The American doubts that 17-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic even knows who she is.
"He has no idea who I am - it's totally fine," Ahn said, when asked if the video caught Djokovic's attention. After a breakthrough season on the Tour in 2019, Ahn started this season with a 5-6 win/loss record.
