Stefanos Tsitsipas: I want to hire Gustavo Kuerten as my coach

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has revealed that he would like to add former world No. 1 Gustavo Kuerten to his coaching staff. Tsitsipas, 21, is currently coached by his father Apostolos but he appears to be open to adding more people to his coaching staff.

Tsitsipas, ranked at No. 6 in the world, made it all the way at the Nitto ATP Finals last year and his next goal is to claim a Masters and a Grand Slam title. Kuerten has the experience and knowledge from which Tsitsipas could benefit as the Brazilian captured three Grand Slam titles during his successful career.

All three of Kuerten's Grand Slam titles came at the French Open but he never made it past the quarterfinal at either of the remaining three Grand Slams. "I want to hire Gustavo Kuerten as my coach. He is very passionate about tennis, just like the people in Brazil.

He represents them perfectly," Tsitsipas said on Instagram Live.

In whatever he does, Tsitsipas is trying to find a deeper meaning. "It's part of who I am. I want people to feel things. I don't see things the way the majority of people see.

Sometimes my tweets are too much, I agree with that," Tsitsipas said.
