Venus Williams partners with former Gary Vee collab K-Swiss

On Wednesday, American star Venus Williams announced her new partnership with the Los Angeles-based fashion brand K-Swiss, a label that focuses on athletic shoewear and that had collaborated with world-renowned entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk a few years ago.

Serena Williams’ sister became the brand’s global ambassador and has just announced a new collection signed by K-Swiss and her own fashion brand, Eleven by Venus Williams. “I’m so proud to share my limited-edition Eleven by Venus collection, designed in collaboration with K-Swiss!

This capsule collection is close to my heart as I created each style for women who represent boldness and authenticity. These pieces will inspire confidence to take on each day in pursuit of your best self!”, Venus Williams wrote on a post recently published on Instagram.

Why did Venus Williams partner up with K-Swiss?

Venus Williams already owned a signature fashion brand as we saw above, but, per her sayings, she felt a great connection with the style expressed by K-Swiss design.

“K-Swiss is such an iconic brand both on and off the court, and I saw a lot of synergy with my own lifestyle brand, EleVen by Venus Williams. Both brands celebrate boldness, especially of women, and I was excited to collaborate on what turned out to be a really special, unique and exciting collection.

It’s different from anything else out there right now. I think people will love it,” Venus told WWD. “We wanted this to be a marriage between the two brand styles, so we took classic looks but used surprising design elements to make them eye-catching.

We added in a beautiful mint green amongst traditional blues and grey or experimented with unique plaid patterns to make sure it was a combination of both brands,” Williams explained.

K-Swiss' collaboration with Gary Vee

K-Swiss is a fashion brand that focuses on tennis shoes, so it's straight-forward thinking that they would want to ally with a tennis star like Venus Williams, but one of their biggest collaborations before closing the deal with Venus was with the highly successful entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.
