Serena Williams: "In the evening I go to Melbourne for dinner to relax"

Serena Williams reached the quarter-finals of the Yarra Valley Classica, in Melbourne. The American, in a press conference, acknowledged the exceptional nature of the situation, playing the week before the Australian Open. In addition, Serena also talked about some personal aspects of her stay in Melbourne.

She said: "Usually in this period I train in the day and go to dinner in Melbourne in the evening to relax, while now there is little relaxation. But anyway we are all happy to be able to play because we need games and it is very convenient not having to fly from city to city but staying in the same place to get used to the conditions.

If there was a way to set it up, this was definitely the right one. Garbine Muguruza, finalist at the Australian Open last year, left only three games to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Serena at the press conference recognized the exceptional nature of the situation, that is to play the week before the major, but it couldn't be done otherwise.
