Emma Raducanu continues to reap the benefits of her unexpected US Open title win, as she appeared alongside 15 other British sports stars in a Sports Direct ad that reportedly costed 6 million pounds. In the video commercial, which invites people to get out of their houses this winter and enjoy the snow, Raducanu dodges snow balls and shouts “new balls, please!”, before serving and hitting British football player Jack Grealish in the back.
The message of the commercial is “Go All Out This Christmas!”, which invites viewers to stop being busy and enjoy the season with all of its beauty. Six footballers play in the ad, including West Ham's Declan Rice, Manchester City's Jack Grealish, Everton's Jordan Pickford and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Chelsea's Mason Mount, and Chelsea and England Women's player Fran Kirby.
Besides them and Emma Raducanu, Olympic gold medalist Jessica Ennis-Hill, heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson, and rugby trio Maro Itoje, Anthony Watson, and Harriet Millar-Mill are among the athletes that also took part in the making of the commercial.
