Tennis - Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli wanted a break from playing tennis. But the 28 year old Frenchwoman sure wants to keep close association with the game in the near future atleast. Less than a week after announcing her shock retirement in Cincinnati, the seventh ranked Bartoli has signed up as a commentator for the upcoming US Open in New York for Eurosport.
Bartoli tweeted this to her fans - "Very thrilled to announce I will be part of the @Eurosport team for this @usopen commentating in english and French!!," Bartoli was expected to be playing in New York as one of the title contenders but following her loss to Simona Halep, she announced that she is walking away from the game because she is too tired and injured after years of grinding away on the professional circuit. She will be working with several tennis commentators including former world no. 1 Mats Wilander and Barbara Schett.
