During his participation at the Tennis Showdown event in Mexico on November 9, Nick Kyrgios got a marriage proposal from a male fan in the stands. "Nick, would you marry me?" the fan shouted as the stadium started laughing.

Kyrgios went to Mexico to participate in the Tennis Showdown exhibition event.
In October, Nick Kyrgios revealed on Instagram that he will play an exhibition match against Gael Monfils in Mexico City on November 9. The match took place at the CDMX Arena. According to Marca's reporting at the time, in addition to the singles duel between the Europeans, a doubles match involving Mexicans Santiago González and Henry López and Colombians Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah was in the cards as well.
The showdown of tennis will be closed by a musical event held by Cristian Castro. Kyrgios announced the event on his Instagram account. "Let's go, Gael Monfils! Let's put on a show (lots of money emojis)," Kyrgios wrote on his Instagram Stories.
Kyrgios to head to Dubai
One of the upcoming exhibitions for Kyrgios will take place in Dubai, where he will be joined by Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, and other stars. The tennis event called World Tennis League will take place in Dubai before Christmas day, between the 19th and 24th of December, 2022.
Besides Djokovic, Swiatek, and Kyrgios, other players have confirmed their participation as well. Among them are Simona Halep, Elena Rybakina, and Alexander Zverev. "This new event is exciting, there's no doubt about it," said Djokovic in a WTL release.
"I absolutely love playing in Dubai, I've had a lot of success there over the years and really enjoy the fans. This is something different, and it's going to be great being a part of it."
